COMMANDER’S CORNER Comrades and Sisters: As outgoing Commander, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement during these past two years. It has enlightened me as to what supporting veterans and their families really means. It is because of you, the combat veteran, that this organization exists. It is because you know what it means to be in harm’s way, to watch your comrades in arms give that ultimate sacrifice to protect our Nation’s rights as directed by our Bill of Rights and our Constitution. We are fortunate to have the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization; a place where we can gather to share our stories and provide for those veterans less fortunate. I applaud all who give their time and effort to stand up for the VFW and why we exist. Congratulations to our incoming officers, Nate Bass – Commander, Larry Childers – Sr. Vice Commander, Bob Hall – Jr. Vice Commander, Bobby Fre – Quartermaster, Jim Briley – Judge Advocate, Bill Jacobson – Chaplain, Rob Lambrecht – Surgeon, Howard Prince – 3 Yr.
